Mark Kannemeyer Mark Kannemeyer (alias Lorcan White) was born in Cape Town in 1965. He holds a diploma in Fine Arts from Wits Technikon, Johannesburg and an MA degree in Fine Arts (painting) from the Hochschule der Kunste in Berlin, Germany. He has contributed to Bitterkomix since the 3rd issue. He still paints and has had a couple of well received exhibitions since his return in 1995 from Europe. He currently also lectures at the Foundation School of Art in Cape Town and works as a freelance illustrator.
 
Conrad Botes
Conrad Botes (alias Konradski) was born in Ladysmith in 1969. He holds a BA degree in Graphic Design and an MA degree in Fine Arts from the University of Stellenbosch. Conrad also studied for a year in Holland and holds a diploma from the Koninklijke Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten, the Hague. He was a cofounder of Bitterkomix in 1992. He has exhibited and published extensively in South Africa and Europe. He is currently a freelance illustrator and lectures occasionally at the University of Stellenbosch.
 
Anton Kannemeyer
Anton Kannemeyer (alias Joe Dog) was born in Cape Town in 1967. He holds a BA degree in Graphic Design, an Honours degree in Graphic Techniques and an MA degree in Fine Arts from the University of Stellenbosch. He and Botes met in 1988 while studying Graphic Design and drew their first comic together in 1989. Anton was a cofounder of Bitterkomix in 1992. He has exhibited and published extensively in both South Africa and Europe. Currently he lectures at the University of Pretoria and freelances often as illustrator.
